Been a bit busy the past week or so Salmon Fishing.
Still
catching fish. The size has increased catching fish in the 9 to 20 lbs
range. Caught one yesterday that was just shy of 20 lbs. Catch counts
are similar to what they were years back. Catching 4 to 8 fish per
trip.
Talked to Charter Captains from Frankfort to Leland.
We're all in the same boat. Catches are down, but the fish are getting
bigger.
The big fish seem to fight harder this year. They
really peel the line out. I'm still fishing salmon, I have not
switched to Lake Trout. There is big fish out there, and I'm
determined to hook up with them.

Friends, The Watta Bite Charter
Fishing Reports are written by me, Captain Bill. They
are all accounts of my fishing experiences. I will not
use information from other fishermen. I have to know
what's going on before I write, that way you, the customer or
potential customer, have facts to work with when choosing a
charter. -- Captain Bill |
