Yesterday our sunset fishing charter brought in 9 Salmon.  This morning our limit catch of 9 fish included an 18lb King Salmon and an 11lb Brown Trout!

It is a beautiful day today.  The winds are strong out of the west.

Fishing is good!  We have been averaging between 9 to 12 fish per trip,
weighing in with up to 17.5 lb King Salmon.

The Watta Bite Charter Fishing team placed 2nd in the recent Glen Arbor Fishing Tournament.  Tracey Eggler won the tournament.  We came close to winning, -- our five fish weighed in 7lbs less than the first place team's catch.  Mariah took third.

Haven’t had the time do a Fish Report lately. Been busy catching fish. With good limits of fish. This morning July 25th we caught 13 fish, 11 King Salmon and 1 Lake Trout and a Brown trout. The wind switched to the North very hard and so we had to come in an hour early.

Yesterday morning's trip (July 24th) took 12 nice Salmon. Andrew Christensen and his family fished with me on Saturday July 23rd and we took 15 King Salmon and a Steel head. We came in an hour early because we got our limit. That was just a little better than last year when they went with me and caught only 9 Kings.

I have been catching 9 to 12 Fish Limits, consistently for the past 2 weeks.

Fishing was good all weekend.  We had 6 to 9 fish catches every day.

Had a great catch today.  We took a limit of 12 Salmon.  Five of the twelve were 14lbs. or more in weight.  The largest fish was 18lbs.

4th of July Weekend 2005

What a weekend to fish!  We were able to run trips all weekend long!

On Saturday, July 3rd, we had an all day trip that took in 20 fish,
the largest was a 17lb. King Salmon.  Plus, we had 15 other hits.

On Sunday, July 4th, we took in a 22 lb. King Salmon, along with others.

Almost all trips came in with limits of fish.
Every trip had a fish or two in the 12 to 15 lb. range.

I would say, "All in all, fishing is GREAT!"

The Watta Bite crew ran the 2nd of 3 Glen Arbor Tournaments today.  We caught the most salmon and bigger salmon than the rest of the boats.  But we needed 2 steelhead or lake trout to go with them.  We lost 2 lake trout at the boat.

We took 4th in the tournament and also claimed the Largest Fish category.
We limited out on salmon and threw 3 back.

Fishing was a little tougher last week.  We caught fish on every outing. We caught 2 big fish along with others on our fishing trips.  One salmon tipped the scale at 171/2 lbs on 6/8/2005.  Another salmon tipped the scale at 21 lbs on June 10, 2005.  We did get back in the quick limit column on Saturday, June 11, 2005.   We caught a limit of fish in 1 ½ hours, four of the fish weighing in around the 15 lb range.

We put the boat in this week.  Everything is running well and ready for the season.
We fished for Lake Trout out of Glen Arbor twice this week.
Caught nice Lakers both trips weighing 5-8 pounds.

We ran in the Glen Arbor tournament and placed second,
the fishing was tough due to weather.
Fishing is improving as the weather warms.

Good Fishing,
Captain Bill
